Mold illness, is often accompanied with other chronic infectious diseases, like Lyme disease and/or Epstein-Barr Virus. Because people who experience mold or mycotoxin illness have so many symptoms, it is often missed by physicians.

It is caused by exposure to water damaged buildings, which can cause immune system dysfunction. Because of its effect on the immune system, patients often experience symptoms for years after exposure.

Testing for mold illness can include mycotoxin urinary testing, testing your home for current mold exposure, nasal swabs to look for mold. We also always assess the individual patient to make sure that immune system function, hormones, thyroid, and gut are optimal to help speed treatment time up.

Treatment is individualized per patient but often includes a combination of prescription and herbal anti-fungal treatment, supplements to help with neurological support and biofilm, and IV nutrition therapy. We also make sure to support the adrenal glands, thyroid, and immune system and teach our patients the optimal diet and lifestyle to be on during treatment.
