Chronic Illness & Complex Case Management
Dr. Jessica Schrand is a naturopathic medical doctor specializing in complex chronic illness, with a clinical focus on identifying underlying drivers of persistent, multi-system symptoms.
Her areas of focus include:
- Lyme disease and tick-borne co-infections
- Mold illness and Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS)
- Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) reactivation and post-viral syndromes including COVID long haul
- Mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS) and histamine-related disorders
- Chronic fatigue and cognitive dysfunction
- Autoimmune conditions, including Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and positive ANA
- Thyroid dysfunction, including patients with persistent symptoms despite normal standard labs
- Dysautonomia and POTS
- Adrenal dysfunction and HPA axis dysregulation
Dr. Schrand’s approach emphasizes pattern recognition across systems rather than reliance on isolated diagnoses. She evaluates immune function, infectious burden, environmental exposures, mast cell activation, endocrine signaling, and nervous system regulation to determine the factors contributing to ongoing symptoms.
Her work often involves patients with complex or refractory presentations who require a more detailed and integrative evaluation than is typically provided in conventional settings.
Treatment plans are individualized and may include advanced laboratory testing, targeted supplementation and medications, IV therapies, peptide therapies, and lifestyle interventions aimed at improving physiologic stability and overall function.
Dr. Schrand earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Arizona State University. She is ILADS-certified and has completed advanced training in IV therapy, ozone therapy, and hormone replacement therapy.
